Mondays at 8:00:
Continuing Basics with Kirill Shklovsky and Ellen. Come 15 minutes early to warm up. Prerequisite is completion of the 12 week beginner series. You may use your PT Intermediate class card.

Current Topic: Dancing Musically -  Yes, tango is a walking dance, but if all you are doing is taking steps like you are out for a Sunday afternoon stroll (or rushing to catch a bus) you are not dancing to the fullest.  In this class we will learn how to make what you know already into a dance and relate it to the music.  We will also learn a number of new steps and see how and where we can use these steps musically.

Kirill Shklovsky started dancing tango in 2001 in Portland Oregon with Alex Krebs. He's danced in over a dozen cities in eight different countries, and over the years has studied with many different teachers whose styles range from milonguero to nuevo. For Kirill the essence of tango is in music and connection and that is what he tries to communicate to the students. He is currently serving his time as the president of the MIT Argentine Tango Club.
